Postpartum Doula Service

Nurtures Call offers various infant care techniques and guidance tailored to the family's specific needs and preferences. During your first six postpartum weeks, our services provide practical and educational support, with check-ins on your emotional well-being. We will assist with alleviating some of the most overwhelming and challenging tasks that arise with a new baby. 

Service includes:

  • (1) hour initial postpartum plan consultation 

  • (2) 2 hour In-person Postpartum Visits (In-home evidence-based education and support, parenting stress management, coping skills bonding and adjustment techniques.

  • Breastfeeding Support/Newborn Care

Add-on option: Postpartum Drop-In

Social Support: New mothers often feel isolated and overwhelmed after giving birth. Postpartum drop-in services offer a chance to decompress and receive social support.

Information and education: Provides information on a variety of topics, such as breastfeeding, baby care, and postpartum depression (within scope)..

Respite: Postpartum drop-in services can give new mothers a chance to take a break from caring for their babies and relax.

Resources: Connect new mothers with resources such as support groups, lactation consultants, and financial assistance programs.

Couples Birth Plan/Labor Technique Consultation

During our session, we implement commonly used evidence-based birthing partner interventions, alternatives, and ways of empathetic support to contribute to your birthing experience. We will create a document that outlines your wishes, promotes better communication, and ensures a more positive birth experience. This birth plan will explore various aspects essential for your upcoming birth. We value the importance of birth partner involvement, so we've structured several labor/delivery techniques designed to prepare expectant parents to work together during the birthing experience

We will provide demonstrations and educational* support to nurture birthing preferences and options for your birth setting. 

  • Labor Comfort Measures (Mobility and Positioning).

  • Pain Management Techniques

  • Patient Advocacy and Support for your partner

  • Provider Communications

Prenatal, Postpartum & Parenting Informational Workshops

$15-$50 Session

Our genes set the stage, but our experiences and environment determine how we perform on that stage. We meet with families and provide evidence-based childhood development care plans designed to influence a healthy and productive physical, emotional, social, cognitive development and overall mental wellness.

Service includes:

  • Prenatal, Postpartum and Parenting Workshops

  • Support Groups for Mothers

  • Informational Workshops on Women’s Wellness and concerning topics of Reproductive Health

Individual Training

Focusing on client needs and physical and mental wellness. Using relaxation techniques, create a personalized exercise plan to connect the body with the mind.

Couples Training

Grab your partner, and break a sweat outside the bedroom! This will be a great way to reconnect with your partner. It's different, learning about each other's strengths and areas of challenge through physical activities. Some benefits you will experience are increasing the emotional bond between each other, bringing happiness to your relationship (Thanks Endorphins), providing accountability, and establishing a common goal with each understanding the importance of physical activity. Let's do something different and make this a normal part of your routine that will only strengthen the foundation of your relationships.
